The Big Lick Ferret Shelter & Hospice is an organization dedicated entirely to the needs of domestic ferrets. We were established in November 2004 with simple goals: to provide temporary shelter to unwanted or homeless ferrets, find forever homes for the adoptable ferrets we shelter, care for the medically challenged ferrets in our hospice guardianship until their time comes to cross the Rainbow Bridge, and to educate the public, both ferret owning and non ferret owning, about domestic ferrets, their unique needs and their daily care.

We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping ferrets find forever homes and educating the public on the proper care of these wondrous creatures. We have no source of income other than the fundraising efforts of the group and the pockets of our volunteers. Donations are greatly appreciated!
